![]() ![]() On average you're getting +56%, which already slightly beats Aphrodite. This means 15% of the time you get +260% (200% of base damage + 200% of the 20% Artemis boost). Additionally, because of how damage is calculated, the critical damage is applied as a percentage after all of your other percentage increases are summed, which means that the crit triples your base damage as well as all your other damage increases.Īt base rarity and level 1, an Aphrodite attack has +50% damage (which is great, don't mistake me for an Aphrodite hater, she has excellent boons) while an Artemis attack has +20% damage and +15% crit. Artemis is still winning but not by nearly so much in these examples.Ĭritical hits in Hades apply +200% damage, meaning they're x3, not x2. Still, it's not a big deal on bosses and you could say it's a good problem to have!Įdit: My calculations were significantly off: now fixed. Some of that damage gets wasted, which of course goes for any damage boost, but I suspect is worse for Artemis. The only thing about crits is that they can be overkill, especially on slow attacks and against low-HP enemies. I think switching to Artemis attack is still stronger, but you know the game will only give you so many Artemis boons, and Weak is good too. There are ways to do this: try Chiron bow with Aphrodite attack, Artemis special, and Hunter's Mark. Of course it'd be nice to have Aphrodite's attack boost and score a crit. But a critical hit would triple all these bonuses for huge damage. ![]() Getting an extra 40% from Aphrodite starts to seem a lot less significant. Now imagine it's not just Privileged Status but also Burning Blood (+50%), a backstab (+50%), and a Chaos boon (let's say +30%), along with the original damage of course (100%). Let's say you also have Privileged Status (+40%).Īrtemis + Privileged: +60% most of the time, and +380% on crit: average of +108% (!) On average you're getting +56%.īut crits are even better than this, because they effectively triple all other damage bonuses (whereas Aphrodite only modifies your base damage). This means 15% of the time you get +260% (and otherwise you get the +20%). In short, only take that duo boon if you have Zeus as a call, not Aphrodite.Īphrodite Common attack boon: +50% damage.Īrtemis Common attack boon: +20% damage, and 15% crit chance. He even has another that doesn't let his Jolted effects expire. Then you have lightning striking all the time.Įspecially if you have several of his other boons, especially the one that gives a chance for his lightning to strike twice! And don't forget Jolted too. However, if you have Zeus' call and pick her duo boon with him, you can spam Zeus' call over and over, especially if you get his other boon that charges your gauge every time you deal or take damage. Her call is more useful fully charged because of damage. ![]() You just have to pop it when the boss is on their last phase.Įdit: so yes the duo is useless with her call, it's more intended for Zeus' call, not Aphrodite's. Especially if you have high crit chance.īut even then it will outright kill one of the furies, Lernie, Asterius/Theseus, and even Hades himself if you are lucky. It's one projectile that will destroy a boss in its final phase. It hits like a truck, the charm aspect is very much useless. It's more helpful as a massive dose of damage.
